Annual Events:

Summer Camp

• Every summer we sponsor approximately 40 underprivileged children to a Christian Youth Camp. The camp experience teaches the children Christian values and responsibility while providing fun days in beautiful, outdoor Michigan.

Back to School Program

• For many years we have been running a Back-to-School program to help children start each school year on the right foot.
• We receive names through clients that come into Crossover.
• In the beginning, we helped about 10 children; this last year we were able to help over 300 children.
• Some of the items the children receive are shoe vouchers to purchase new school shoes; school supplies like pencils, crayons, paper, notebooks, and backpacks; and new clothing or uniforms for the start of school.
• Parents come in to pick up everything before school starts.

Thanksgiving Food Baskets

• 2009 was our first year to give away food baskets with everything one needs for a Thanksgiving dinner, and we were able to provide about 100 families with a feast on that special day.

Crossover Christmas- Adopting Families

• We receive information about families through the DHS.
• Our Director calls family to get ages, sizes, and wish lists for children and adults.
• Volunteers come in to wrap gifts
• Families come in the week before Christmas to pick up wrapped packages
• We also provide food certificates for the families
• Program grows every year. Last Christmas we adopted over 100 families.
